Scott Kress, an acclaimed leadership and team development trainer and the author of Learning In Thin Air, will share lessons learned both inside organizations and on the peaks of mountains at the 31st Annual SCIP International Conference & Exhibition, taking place May 16-19th in Orlando, Florida.

As the President of Summit Team Building, a professional development training and team building organization, Kress has created highly successful development programs for many Fortune 500 companies. And, as the 51st Canadian to summit Mount Everest and the 15th Canadian to climb the 7 summits, the highest peak on each of the seven continents, he knows first-hand the value of a strong, healthy team in reaching goals.

Through his experiences and organizational expertise, he is dedicated to answering team-building questions like these:

Is your team performing at their best?
Are your leaders driving a positive team culture and motivating employees?
Do you have a current challenge you need to overcome?

Kress will draw from his experiences of success and failure on two of the highest mountains in the world. He will share his analysis of the leadership, team factors and collaboration that led to both good and bad results to help competitive intelligence professionals succeed in today’s networked world.

Specifically, he will share how his experiences as both a mountain climber and team leader can be applied to business objectives. He will offer attendees insights into the current business culture and provide effective tools and strategies. He will teach teams how to gain commitment, build trust, communicate effectively and, of course, get results.

In short, Kress has only one goal: To assist teams, leaders, and individuals in reaching their peak performance.
